About the role:
Based at Kemps Creek, we are seeking Landfill Operators to join the team in a full time, permanent capacity.
The position
- Operate dozers and/or compactors at the tip face;
- Operate excavators, graders and/or rollers to maintain site haul roads, tipping pads and to complete ancillary tasks;
- Operate articulated dump trucks, water carts and other machinery as required;
- Communicate effectively with customers via UHF radio, to ensure the safe disposal of their waste loads;
- Co-ordinate with other Operators, the Operations Supervisors and the Operations Manager to ensure the safe operation of Kemps Creek Landfill;
- Pre-start, maintenance and safety checks on all equipment;
- Contribute to toolboxes and drive safety improvements with the group
About you
- Minimum 2-years experience operating heavy machinery including compactors, dozers and excavators;
- Knowledge around safe operation of yellow gear and experienced with JSEA’s & SWMS;
- Landfill, quarrying, mining and waste management experience is preferred
- Excellent work ethic and attitude
- Strong commitment to safety
- Willing to take a Pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test
Waste industry experience is not essential.
