Trinity Residential College has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Landscape Gardener. This role is responsible for the daily operational aspects of the landscaping, maintenance, restoration, and design of the College grounds. It plays a vital role in ensuring that the outdoor spaces are clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing for residents and visitors. You will work as part of a small team who are committed to working together to achieve team goals.
About the College
Trinity Residential College is a ‘home away from home’ for over 410 tertiary education students. Located on campus at the University of Western Australia, we offer an all-inclusive student accommodation experience for both international and domestic students. The site is approximately 6 acres with beautifully lush and spacious grounds. At ‘Trin’ we are renowned for our vibrant community and supportive culture, while being conveniently located close to the Swan River and Perth CBD.
About the role
The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining lawns, gardens, and landscaping features to ensure they are healthy, neat, and visually appealing.
- Maintaining and operating the irrigation system.
- Undertaking tree care operations including pruning, removal, and replacement.
- Identifying and treating potential pests or diseases using herbicides and pesticides when needed.
- Providing plant care advice to other team members.
- Assisting in the development of a Grounds Maintenance Schedule.
- Assisting in maintaining all machinery and equipment required for the maintenance of the College grounds.

About you
Short listed candidates will be able to demonstrate they possess the following skills and experience:
Essential Criteria
- Certificate III in Landscape Construction (or equivalent)
- Experience in landscaping and grounds maintenance.
- Knowledge of and experience in the care and maintenance of a wide variety of plants. (3-5 years’ experience preferred)
- The ability to follow directions and work to a schedule in maintaining our large, landscaped grounds.
- Punctual, enthusiastic, and hardworking.
- Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and achieve goals.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform strenuous outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
- Commitment to following workplace health and safety standards.
