The Position:
As we continue to expand, we have a position available for a fit, energetic, hardworking & dedicated person to join our team as a Leading Hand supporting the site foreman working on projects around southern Tasmania.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Setting out works as per plans & details including the reading of levels & layout of projects
- Organise labour, materials, machinery & equipment required to complete the tasks
- Operate machinery
- Supervise staff
- Construction of landscaping works which includes, boulder & log placement, concrete prep, edging, paving, compacted gravel surfaces, irrigation & soft landscaping
- Synthetic grass base prep & laying
- Working with polymer glues to form hard-wearing gravel surfaces
- Work in a team environment & lead a team, including the demonstration of a strong commitment to safety & have a working knowledge of relevant regulations & standards
- Be proactive & bring a positive & enthusiastic attitude

- Report to the site foreman on a regular basis
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience in landscape construction & similar works
- MR Truck Licence
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in operating excavators (1.8T to 5.5T) & skid steer loaders
- Horticulture Certificate (if possible)
- Construction Industry White Card
- Working with vulnerable children's card
- All successful candidates will be required to undertake a police check
