We are currently seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join the team providing support services at Bethanie Waters Aged Care Home located in Port Kennedy.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in cleaning or laundering and be of a friendly nature, as interaction with our residents is core to our culture.
These roles are offered on a 4 months fixed term part time basis, working 4 days a week. Shift times are 7am – 2.30pm.
About You
- Previous experience working as a Laundry Assistant, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations - annual flu and minimum three COVID-19 vaccinations
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)
The Role
- Ensuring all laundry and linen is laundered correctly and infection control practices are adhered to
- Sorting and washing linen by wash temperature, colour, degree of soiling, infectious nature, fabric and fibre
- Loading and unloading washing machines and tumble dryers
- Sorting and folding clean and dry linen
- Reporting damage or wear and recommending repairs or replacement
