The role

We have a great opportunity for a Law Graduate Solicitor to join our Plaintiff Compensation team in our Brisbane office on a permanent, full-time basis. You will be part of a dynamic and growing team, working alongside award winning industry recognised Principal and Senior Associate, and will have the opportunity to quickly develop your skills. Our law firm has a strong reputation for providing high-quality legal services to our clients, and we are looking for an individual who shares our commitment to excellence and client satisfaction.

Core duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Providing advice to clients and managing a caseload of Personal Injury and insurance matters;
  • Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents such as pleadings, affidavits, and statements of claim;
  • Representing clients in mediations, negotiations and court proceedings.
  • Regular communication with clients and other stakeholders; and
  • Assisting in divisional marketing and business development activities.

Who we are seeking

Our ideal candidate is someone who has recently completed or is about to complete a Bachelor of Laws and is interested in working in the Plaintiff Personal injuries practice area.

In addition, they will possess the following:

  • Strong relationship building, customer service and communication skills;
  • Strong time management and organisational skills together with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities simultaneously; and
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A keen eye for detail and excellent time-management skills.
  • Experience in Plaintiff compensation will be highly regarded, although not essential.
