The Position:
We are seeking an experienced full time Personal Injuries Legal Assistant for our Brisbane CBD office.
This role will provide support to one solicitor. The role necessitates a high standard of organisation, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and prioritise competing deadlines together with a genuine desire to relate to and assist our injured clients.
You will need to demonstrate:
- Recent prior experience in Personal Injuries law across all work types (WorkCover, PIPA, CTP, TPD, Medical Negligence, Institutional Abuse)
- Experience in the use of LawMaster (highly preferred)
- Highly developed time management skills with the ability to meet competing deadlines
- The ability to plan and think ahead
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work well under pressure
- A typing speed of 60-70 words per minute with 95% accuracy
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Microsoft Office – Intermediate level
- Excellent personal presentation
- A strong work ethic and a desire to do whatever it takes
- A proactive approach to client’s matters
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
