What role will you play?
Working as part of our Banking and Financial Services Treasury Legal team, you will provide dedicated legal support to the team responsible for funding our Banking & Financial Services operations.
This role will see you negotiating, documenting, and executing structured finance funding transactions including Macquarie's residential mortgage-backed securities program, 'PUMA' and asset backed securities program, 'SMART' and assisting with Macquarie's covered bond program. You will also be project managing Macquarie's annual home loan risk reinsurance program and working on a wide range of other initiatives.
What you offer
- A fully qualified Lawyer with a minimum of 3 years PQE, currently working in banking or finance law or with extensive corporate transactional experience
- A background in a private practice or in-house environment and working with a focus on debt capital markets, structured finance, capital/funding structures and financing transactions
- Excellent organisation and stakeholder management skills and an ability to work collaboratively.
- Strong drafting abilities coupled with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines, with a natural inclination to deliver a high standard of work at all times, and an ability to work in a team environment whilst taking ownership for projects.
