This is a temporary contract to 30 June 2025 with the possibility of extension
What you will do
- Representing clients including preparing matters, instructing counsel and personally appearing as an advocate in family law and related matters
- Provide duty lawyer services and legal information advice to clients and the public
- Help and guide staff within the team and Legal Aid Queensland staff state- wide regarding family law matters
About you: The successful candidate will have
- Experience in the conduct of family law and related matters including preparation, representation and advocacy experience
- Knowledge of the practice and procedure of family and related laws
- The ability to build and sustain relationships with team members, contribute to team planning and suggest improvements in work practices
