We are seeking a Wills and Estates lawyer to join our team and handle a variety of matters related to wills, trusts, estate planning and probate.

Your work will be tailored to your experience level but will be designed to provide you with the opportunity to grow and hone your expertise. Notwithstanding that, experience as a lawyer in the Wills and Estates practice area is a requirement of the role.
Lawyers with 2 years + experience in the Wills and Estates practice area are encouraged to apply.
Salary will be negotiated commensurate with experience and expertise.
The role is initially offered part-time 2 - 3 days per week, with scope to increase the hours in the future if the role grows and that is of interest to the successful applicant.
Job Responsibilities
- Providing legal advice to clients
- Drafting, reviewing, and updating wills, trusts, and other associated documents.
- Handling probate applications from start to finish.
- Advising clients on estate and wealth transfer strategies.
- Resolving disputes if they arise and working on will and estate litigation, when necessary, with the firm’s litigation partner.
- Collaborating with clients, financial advisors, and other professionals.
- Networking with other professionals to develop your referral network.
- Being across the legislation and case law in the ACT, NSW and Australia.
About you
You will:
- Be passionate about Wills and Estates and seeking career progression in the practice area.
- Have strong drafting skills and attention to detail
- Be client focused
- Have the ability to problem solve and think creatively
- Enjoy both client facing and technical work
- Have high level organisational skills and use initiative
- Minimum 2 years experience in the practice area of Wills and Estates.
- Be keen to building your own brand and expand your referral network.
