Allygroup is seeking senior lawyers to support the Goods and IP Law Section (GIL) in the Trade and Investment Law division within the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain invaluable experience working collaboratively with technically skilled, like-minded people supporting multi-disciplinary teams.
GIL provides advice within DFAT and across Government on Goods and intellectual property obligations under the WTO agreements and Australia’s FTAs to advance policy objectives and reduce legal risk, including in priority policy areas such as energy transition, decarbonisation and the green economy, agriculture, biosecurity, health, economic security and Russia/Ukraine measures.
This will be an onsite secondment in the DFAT officer, Canberra.
Full-time will be preferable
What we need
Lawyers experienced with Goods and Intellectual Property who can be available from May 2024 to November 2024 with possibilities to extend.
The lawyer must have 2-5 years (or higher) post admission legal experience, including experience at a senior level. The secondee lawyer would work under the direction and supervision of the Branch’s Director.
Must be
- The nominated personnel are required to hold and maintain a current NV1 or above security clearance for the term of the contract
