This is a critical role with a global logistics provider offering comprehensive supply chain services to a broad range of prestigious clients. Based in the Sydney Branch you will be responsible for the cartage coordination of LCL and airfreight shipments.
The Position
In this position you will be
- Providing customer service for LCL and airfreight shipments by communicating proactively on status and progress of shipments.
- Arranging national deliveries and coordinating availability with transport depots.
- Ensuring all Customs and quarantine requirements are met and liaising with Customs regarding inspections and holds.
- Facilitating a smooth flow of cargo by regular liaison with service providers, internal departments and clients.
- Monitoring and coordinating return of empty containers.
- Requesting, monitoring and processing payment of invoices.
- Pro-actively chasing original Bills of Lading payment of disbursement invoices prior to ETA when required.
- Collating clearance and transport documentation for timely deliveries.
To be considered for this role, you require international freight forwarding experience. Ideally in a cartage role, combined with:
