ABOUT US:
Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) Flexible Schools Ltd educates over 2,200 young people in 22 Flexible Learning Schools (12 based in Queensland and 10 other schools across Australia) and serves young people who experience complex educational, social or psychological situations which demand unique responses. They enable young people to engage in education in a supported learning environment through a methodology based on trauma informed practice, in which the principles of operation (Honesty, Respect, Participation, Safe & Legal) are embedded.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This continuing, full time role is based at the Gympie Flexible School. This position reports directly to the Head of Campus and performs a wide range of complex and confidential executive secretarial, administrative support and project management duties. Along with the other school sites in the Area, this position provides administration support to the Area Principal.
This position start date: 15 May 2024 or as soon as can be negotiated.

KEY ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE:
- Understanding of and commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system of schools in the Edmund Rice tradition.
- Proven senior leadership experience, both strategic and operational, characterised by strong organisational, administrative, communication, and leadership skills, particularly in relation to areas outlined in this position.
- Able to demonstrate the high-level communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills necessary to be successful in a complex and layered organisational structure.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Office Administration Manager or similar high performance management support function.
- An understanding of and commitment to principles of social justice and an interest in Young People.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, participating in meeting processes including minute taking, report writing and negotiation skills.
- High level of proficiency in computing and software (especially Sharepoint, Teams, Microsoft Word, Excel) and the ability to develop skills in databases.
- Proven ability to manage time, to work autonomously, problem solve and use initiative as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Proven ability to coordinate collection of qualitative and quantitative data from groups within the organisation to compile accurate acquittals, reports and submissions.
- Proven ability to manage electronic and paper files with a high level of organisational acumen.
- Current Queensland Driver’s License and Blue Card.
- Play an active role in managing own professional development.
Desirable:
- Appropriate qualifications suitable to the role (i.e.: Administration, Human Resources).
- Previous experience working in a school environment.
