Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

The Clinical Information Access Unit is authorised to process all written requests for access to Clinical Information from the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service under legislation and Queensland Health policy.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Work autonomously and efficiently with minimal supervision with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workloads.
- Act as the back-up Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI Act) and Information Privacy Act 2009 (IP Act) decision maker for the Sunshine Hospital and Health Service.
- Take responsibility for issuing preliminary correspondence in accordance with the requirements of the Right to Information Act 2009 and the Information Privacy Act 2009.
- Act as the primary decision maker for the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service for non-RTI/IP Act applications in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, statutory requirements and the Health Information: Disclosure and Access Policy.
