Job Title: Lead Auditors for National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and Human Services Quality Framework (HSQF)

Position Purpose:
The role of a Lead Auditor in the NDIS is crucial for ensuring that service providers deliver high-quality, compliant services that meet the needs of people with disabilities and adhere to the standards set by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess NDIS providers against the NDIS Practice Standards and HSQF
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Manage a team of auditors on the day of the audit
- Evaluate production processes for compliance with quality requirements
- Collect, synthesise, and analyse evidence to make findings and recommendations
- Responsible for the development of audit plans and audit schedules
- Participate in quality audits (and lead a team of quality auditors when needed)
- Help organisations identify opportunities for improvement
- Collate reports from the auditors and ensuring this work meets the NDIS Practice Standards and HSQF
- Prepare accurate audit reports to inform recommendations to the NDIS Commission and HSQF
- Mentor other staff and share information for the purpose of ensuring knowledge transfer and consistency of understanding regarding the applicable standards, operating procedures, and organisational goals
- Help develop and train trainee auditors
- Leading audit teams of fellow Auditors, CSO’s, and Technical Reviewers.
Skills and Experience:
Essential
- Experience leading audits in the health industry.
- Must have an eye for detail and first hand experience with auditing tools.
- Exceptional listening, communication, and presentation skills.
- Must be able to work well with people at all levels of the organization.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Successful completion of an auditor or lead auditor’s course. As a minimum, these courses should meet the requirements of competency standards BSBAUD501 Initiate a quality audit; BSBAUD504 Report on a quality audit; and BSBAUD402 Participate in a quality audit (audit team members) or BSBAUD503 Lead a quality audit (audit team leaders)

- Ability to travel if required
Desirable
- 2 years of lead auditing experience is desirable
- Experience working within NDIS and HSQF
- Knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards and HSQF.
