About the engagement:
Green Light are delivering a project for an industry leading organisation and have a requirement for a talented RF Engineer to join our project delivery team. The engagement will be for an initial 6-12 months with the view to extend. The work will involve working closely with technical professionals from a large solutions provider into a primary industries (mining) company.
The role will be varied, working with an extremely strong team, on the delivery and ongoing support of the wireless networks across a number of mine sites for a large end customer.
We are looking for team players with strong skills in RF planning and performance monitoring, optimisation of wireless network performance and microwave circuit design.
The desired candidate is to be experienced in all hardware aspects of the transceiver design covering subsystems and modules including antennas. The candidate will have strong communication skills and ability to engage with the onsite and remote teams to achieve resolution of issues.
Requirements:
- 5 years’ experience working as an RF Engineer on large enterprise projects.
- At least 2 years' experience as a technical engineer within telecommunications / utilities delivery environment
- Able to work independently with some supervision once provided with a clear scope of work
- Experience with vendors – Nokia, Cambium, Cisco, NetNumber
- Experience working with major domestic telco carriers
- Experience in conducting audits
- RF Planning tools HTZ (ATDI)
- Cisco Wireless (WiFi)
- DMR
- Rajant Breadcrumb wireless
- Radio Access Network – eNodeB
- IP Transport - microwave radio/ Ethernet
- VHF/UHF/P25
Responsibilities:
- Working as an experienced RF Engineer
- Experience in designing, planning and deployment in industrial environments/projects i.e., mining.
- Proven experience of cabling plans and cable modems
- Good written, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Experience in writing designs and implantation plans
