As the Lead Business Analyst at Cochlear, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our business strategy through effective analysis and collaboration. You will lead the effort to align our portfolio backlog with our overarching business objectives, working closely with stakeholders across the organization. Additionally, you will champion a culture of continuous improvement and mentorship within our Business Analysis Practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis:
- Lead the analysis effort to identify requirements and drive the delivery of effective solutions.
- Utilize modeling toolsets and techniques to decompose work and ensure value delivery.
- Articulate cost, budget, and solution requirements to contribute to business case development.
- Map initiatives to Cochlear's persistent story maps and assure delivery of agreed-upon value.
Business Process and Collaboration:
- Lead discussions to develop a shared understanding of business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Guide team members to communicate business requirements effectively and align solutions with strategy.
- Maintain awareness of business operations and explore technology possibilities to enhance effectiveness.
Business Analysis Capability Leadership:
- Allocate and align resources according to business priorities.
- Coach and mentor analysts on requirements modeling techniques and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and continuous improvement within the Business Analysis Practice.
Solution Evaluation:
- Participate in the evaluation of technology solutions and prepare gap analysis reports.
- Identify dependencies or gaps between proposed solutions and business requirements.
Stakeholder Management, Communication, and Change Management:
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders to align backlog with business strategy.
- Communicate relevant information to cross-functional teams and support change management efforts.
- Provide feedback to improve change practices and communication strategies.
Delivery Management:
- Support delivery teams by providing consultative advice and guidance.
- Facilitate coordination activities and assist with project management as needed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and execute the end-to-end delivery of initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Min 8 years experience as a Business Analyst
- Experience with Enterprise systems (e.g. CRM/ ERP) and processes.
- Expert knowledge of BABOK (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge).
- Strong background in business analysis with experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience working in virtual and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience mentoring, guiding and delegating/managing tasks with other Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts
