• Seeking a seasoned Lead Business Analyst

How will I help?The Lead BA will have demonstrated ability coaching and guiding BA Teams to perform business analysis tasks primarily within the boundaries of a multi-tiered complex project or Program but not limited to. • Coaches and guides the achievement of Westpac's strategy by working with stakeholders as directed to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information and systems.
• Coaches and guides the business in the definition of their business operating model in order to support business strategy by designing business solutions that deliver targeted business outcomes;
• Supports executive decision making in the prioritisation of requirements, initiatives and allocation of funds for future investment through the preparation of business cases; and
• To steward the direction of the business analysis practice across the Westpac Group towards industry best practice.
• Constructing and presenting the business case and benefits realisation plan to facilitate investment decisions, specifically analysis of the proposed solution to deliver the desired business outcome and associated project costs.
• Leading the business in defining the Business Operating Model to support business strategy. This includes defining the value chain, product/service offerings, distribution channel, business functions and systems.

What do I need?

• Demonstrated ability to coach individuals and groups to demonstrate personal accountability for both outcomes and corrective actions where obligations have not been met
• Superior problem solving skills by facilitating sessions on complex issues; coach others in identifying effective and efficient activities to understand a problem and the recommended solutions
• Undertake stakeholder management activities to define relationship mapping, engagement maturity and degrees of influence to ensure effective management techniques are used to optimise the engagement approach and lower risk of resistance
• Demonstrate and role model through coaching influencing and negotiation skills in complex commercial and contractual situations to achieve required outcomes
• Demonstrate an understanding of attributes that influence context, language and medium when defining and conveying messages; demonstrate the ability to coach others and show by way of example superior written and oral skills in providing succinct and clear messaging that scales and engage appropriately
• Demonstrate and role model through coaching influencing and negotiation skills in complex commercial and contractual situations to achieve required outcomes
• 3 -5+ years in a comparable KYC, policy, framework related project BA role in a Financial Crime environment
• In-depth knowledge and experience in Regulatory/Risk Framework
• Good understanding of complex customer types - Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, Associations etc.
• Understanding of AML/CTF and Sanctions regulatory frameworks
• Proven experience engaging with senior stakeholders across multiple divisions.
• Proven experience in a specialised operational team in a large organisation
• Proven experience working in financial crime programs specifically in the areas of transaction monitoring, sanctions, KYC, AML screening and areas of regulatory reporting like TTR, IFTI, SMR.
