As a Lead Civil Designer, your responsibility will be to oversee all design documentation and mentor the team to ensure cost effective designs are produced in a timely manner and are compliant with project requirements and standard codes of practice.
Other tasks
- Assist with the preparation of fee proposals and document submissions
- Act as a coach and mentor, recognise and reward individual and team success
- Clearly communicate roles and responsibilities, delegate tasks accordingly
- Attend client meetings, keep all stakeholders informed of project progress
- Ensure the integrity of all documentation and project records
To be successful in the role, you will have demonstrated experience in leading a team of Engineering professionals. You will also have the capability of leading a team across multiple civil projects varying in size and complexity.
Must have:
- Min 8 years plus local Australian experience in a similar role
- Knowledge on local council regulations and codes covering land development and roads - TMR highly regarded
- Innovative and lateral thinker
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, 12D, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Natural leadership and a commitment to mentoring junior designers
- Excellent work ethic and foster a culture of accountability
