Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Senior or Lead level Contracts Administrator to join our onsite project team near Leinster, WA.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, this role will be responsible for maintaining and executing contracts and consultancy service agreements for the designated project, whilst providing strong support to the Field Engineers on Scope based claims at the site level.
The tasks you'll perform
- Provision of contract administration and commercial support services to the project team.
- Ensure the projects established and agreed contract terms and conditions are adhered to for site works and in the event the site contract team is creating a new contract, ensuring the most appropriate terms and conditions are used that suit the specific scope of work.
- Take the lead role in resolution of claims, pending matters or disputes with contractors to ensure timely and effective closure of all contracts.
- Ensure there is compliance with the project contracting and contract management plans, schedules, budgets and ensure that project and contract deliverables are achieved within the nominated timeframes and are to a consistently high standard.
- Provide accurate and timely advice on commercial matters.
- Qualification in law, commerce, construction management or related areas.
- 5+ years site experience administering Tier 1 Contractor construction contracts.
- Demonstrate a superior understanding and awareness of contract management, standard and model terms and conditions.
- Ability to give strong support the Field Engineers to push back on Scope based claims at the site level.
- Capacity to evaluate work practices, implement systems and suggest alternatives and refinements where necessary.
