As Lead Educator, you will work with Educators in the Centre, supporting their teaching practice as they grow and excel as professionals.
  
You will be building meaningful relationships with children and families, ensuring children are supported to be brave, curious, and imaginative in their learning. Lead Educators are a vital link in supporting our team and Centre Leadership to develop and implement innovative early learning programs that will set children up for formal schooling and beyond.

The Centre

Our State of the art 140 place purpose-built centre located in the inner west suburb of Braybrook includes, 7 open plan classrooms, 2 Bespoke Ateliers where our Rich and meaningful indoor programs come to life. As well as 2 large outdoor spaces with a Piazza that connects to the open kitchen. Our outdoor curriculum and environments have been thoughtful designed with natural materials and her and vegetable gardens that foster’s engagement with thinking and learning
Guardian Braybrook offers 2 planning spaces, one of which has been designed as a collaborative hub central to our classrooms, where educators and children come together to reflect on the daily learning and contribute to planning decisions together in meaningful ways. The other planning space sits within our curriculum hub, where our full time off the floor educational leader is housed to support educators in the development and implementation of the education program.

The Opportunity
Working closely with your fellow Educators and Centre Manager, you will enjoy;

  • Developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the centre community.
  • Developing and implementing an innovative early learning program reflective of current early years thinking and practice.
  • Documenting and sharing with families in their children’s learning and development.
  • Actively contributing to the implementation and adoption of the Guardian Curriculum.
  • Professional learning and development programs, career pathways, and a truly collaborative and inclusive learning environment. 

To be considered, you will have:

  • A completed Certificate III and/or Diploma in Children’s Services (or working towards)
  • Prior experience in long day-care
  • Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the NQF and the EYLF
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People’s Check.
