The Centre
Guardian Childcare & Education Preston West is a light-filled Centre bursting with incredible resources and indoor and outdoor environments for children to explore and learn. The Centre includes an art piazza, an outdoor dining space, community gardens, a messy play area, cubby houses, climbing equipment, sensory gardens, tepees and much more.
Guardian Preston West offers a leading Kindergarten Program, led by our university-qualified teachers which helps prepare our older children for the exciting transition to school. This program is in addition to the amazing learning experiences our dedicated Educators and Teachers prepare for children of all ages – from six months to six years.
Our children at Guardian Preston West love playing peek-a-boo, and Educator Yoyo Zhou recently shared this learning opportunity on the Guardian Learning Exchange. She incorporated a mirror into the game as another learning opportunity for the children. This is just one example of how our dedicated Teachers and Educators go above and beyond to deliver meaningful learning experiences for the children.
The Opportunity
Working closely with your fellow Educators and Centre Leadership Team, you will enjoy;
- Developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the centre community.
- Lead and guide teams in developing and implementing an innovative early learning program reflective of current early years thinking and practice.
- Documenting and sharing with families in their children's learning and development.
- Actively contributing to the implementation and adoption of the Guardian Curriculum.
- Professional learning and development programs, career pathways, and a truly collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
To be considered, you will have:
- A completed Diploma in Children's Services (or working towards)
- Prior experience in long day-care
- Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the NQF and the EYLF
- Current Working with Vulnerable People Check
