This is a contract position for a minimum initial 6 months
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Engineering: Specialization in Instrumentation, Control, and Electrical systems, either individually or in combination.
- Heavy Industry Background: Proven experience in mining, heavy manufacturing, and/or oil & gas sectors.
- Standards Proficiency: Conversant with AS/NZS3000 (wiring rules), AS/NZS 60079 (hazardous areas), and AS/NZS 61511 (functional safety) series of standards.
- Prioritization Skills: Ability to manage conflicting priorities and achieve agreeable outcomes through effective prioritization.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Qualifications and Expertise:
- Operations Management of Change (MOC): Experience in MOC processes.
- Functional Safety: Qualified in Functional Safety (TUV FSeng, CFSE).
- EEHA Competency: Proficient in EEHA (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas) instrument and electrical equipment design, selection, and installation (AS/NZS 4761/60079).
- Alarm Management: Familiarity with Alarm Management Techniques.
- Systems Expertise: Skilled in Configuration, Commissioning, maintenance, and fault-finding on Facility DCS (Distributed Control Systems), SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems), and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems.
