NES Fircroft have partnered with a leading materials handling company that are looking to make a big footprint within the Australian mining industry. Having had huge successes, in the space across Europe, the Middle East and the US, this is a huge opportunity to lead the engineering team in Perth.
This role will be a mixture of technical hands-on engineering and support, along with leading and mentoring the other Electrical Engineers within the team.
Your role:
- Manage electrical and automation aspects of Bulk Material handling projects.
- Operate independently in a dynamic environment.
- Ensure project adherence to schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate communication among engineering disciplines and departments.
- Interface with clients, vendors, and suppliers for project alignment.
- Conduct electrical network studies and develop compliant designs.
- Review and approve designs, specifications, and data sheets.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and interfaces.
- Coordinate factory tests and provide on-site support during construction and commissioning.
- Previous experience working on medium to large scale projects ideally involving bulk material handling.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Electrical Network analysis and medium/low voltage switchgear.
- Familiarity with Australian standards and regulations.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; familiarity with MicroStation, Eplan, and AutoCAD is preferred.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and planning abilities.
- Capability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
- Experience in managing clients and vendors.
- Adaptability to work in large team environments and under pressure.
- Self-motivation, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.
