Join us as Lead Electrical Project Engineer for the Process Automation Business Area where you will be leading all technical engineering activities in assignments classified as low engineering complexity. Ensuring that activities related to all engineering disci-plines within the project are efficiently and cost-effectively executed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. Reporting to Engineering Manager and this position will be based in Perth, Notting Hill and Fortitude Valley, Australia.
Your responsibilities
- Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform task or sequence of tasks, for conventional projects with few complex features. Executing assignments using established solutions
- Acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completes engineering assignments for that discipline
- Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, clarifying potential issues or providing solutions to correct engineering errors
- Interacting with customers, contractors, suppliers. Attending project meetings and presents all technical aspects of project assignments
- Assisting in creating proposals for projects through coordination of proposal documents and engineering estimates. Assisting in performing engineering risk analysis before submitting proposal
- Coaching Project Engineers and designers on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, including modelling, proto-typing and calculations
- Leading , supervising, and coordinating teams in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on low complexity projects
Your background
- Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 10 years of experience
- Experience in E-House / Synchronous Condensers,Electrical calculations
- Prior experience in commissioning, LV, MV switchgear and drives experience
- Electrical, Program Logic Control (PLC) and Supervising Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) experience
- Experience in ACS800 AC/LC, ACS6000 ABB drives highly preferred.
- Background in leading design teams and being a customer focal point as a Lead Engineer in delivering complex Electrical Projects,eligible to be qualified for RPEQ
- Strong understanding of secondary and primary systems design with experience in undertaking power systems studies using packages such as (PSCAD, PSSE)
