Civmec’s new Balanced Machine division designs the next generation of balanced machines, providing materials handling solutions for mining companies in Australia. These machines are designed, fabricated, assembled, and tested at our Henderson facilities. The designs are fully executed in the 3d model space using CREO and ePlan P8 software prior to fabrication beginning. We also provide support services to inspect and maintain machines around Australia.
The design team is comprised of experienced engineers in the mechanical, electrical, and structural fields. This is a rare opportunity as we look to expand our team with experienced people who deliver high quality engineering outcomes.
Due to growth within the division we are looking for expressions of interest from;
- Electrical Engineers
- Control Systems Engineers
The Role
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Provide electrical and instrumentation design expertise on multi-disciplinary balanced machine projects,
- Preparation of calculations/analysis/modelling,
- Preparation of engineering documentation and drawings such as technical specifications, Design criteria, Scope of Works, Datasheets, Load List, Single Line Diagrams, Schematics, Cable Schedule, Earthing system drawings, layout, sketches, test and commissioning procedures and engineering reports etc.
- Preparation of Functional Safety documentations such as Safety Requirements Specification and Hardware Desing Specification
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical or Control System Engineering.
- 2 + years’ Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (E&IC) Engineering Desing experience in a relevant industry.
- 2 + years’ experience working within a multi-discipline project team.
- Balanced Machine experience is not essential but will be considered advantageous.
- Good knowledge of the company’s engineering tools including, EPLAN P8, DigSILENT, Reliability Workbench and Power CAD;
- Understanding of industrial control systems and instrumentation in the context of a Balanced Machine;
