About the Role:
As the Lead Electrical/Mechatronics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing oversight, designing and implementation of control systems for our electric over hydraulic controlled workover equipment. Working closely with our international team of engineers, you will contribute to ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our equipment.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems into equipment designs.
- Conduct studies and system analysis to optimise control system performance.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve control system issues in the field.
- Design of full electrical system including schematic design and cabinet layout.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to engineers and technicians.
- Sign off on the safety of the control systems.
- Participate in overseas travel.
What We Require:
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or working towards this qualification (highly regarded)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE) or similar qualifications (highly regarded).
What You'll Bring:
- Preferred a minimum of 10 years' practical experience in control systems design for automation, robotic, mobile, and industrial machinery.
- Proficiency in PLC programming with IFM PLC’s or similar hardware using CODESYS(highly regarded).
- Proficiency in electrical schematic design, electrical cabinet layout and design experience with low voltage systems.
- Experience with electrical drafting packages (AutoCAD - Electrical or similar)
- Experience in designing systems to Safety Integrity Level (SIL) standards or demonstrating a thorough understanding of risk management processes.
