The Opportunity

If so, we invite you to join our team as the Lead Health & Safety, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing our organisation's strong commitment to the Health and Safety of our employees and stakeholders.
About You
As the Lead Health & Safety, you will be a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing subject matter expertise in managing workplace risks, safety initiatives and regulatory compliance. You will have the opportunity to:
• Lead and manage a small team of two advisors
• Stay up to date on the latest regulatory changes and recommend safety system improvements
• Advise and collaborate with business leaders on the implementation of safe work systems, identification of hazards and the resolution of safety risks
• Support and guide leaders through safety investigations
• Manage corporate Health and Safety training
• Prepare informative and concise reports for Committees, ensuring Health and Safety management status remains visible
• Support leaders to manage injuries and illnesses, including return-to-work programs
What we require from the right candidate
• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field
• 5+ years' health & safety experience
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in injury management, along with a working knowledge of the Workers' Compensation and Injury Management Acts
• High level of interpersonal skills including oral and written communication
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to provide detailed guidance and advice to People Leaders and identify risks to the business and escalate appropriately.
• Ability to conduct and manage incident investigations.
