The opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join Altrad during a period of growth and be accountable for providing hands on injury management and advisory services to our broader business on strategic claims/injury management.
Located in our new Subiaco office, this role will be responsible for the following:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the activities of a comprehensive workers compensation and injury management service across Altrad, including developing and implementing policies, procedures and practices in accordance with organisational objectives and relevant legislation
- Attend conciliation's, arbitration's and review case conferences & appointments
- Facilitates the systemic evaluation of the Injury Management and Workers Compensation processes and recommend strategies for the ongoing improvement of the injury management function aimed at continually reducing claim costs and driving premiums down
- Maintain a comprehensive injury management case/file notes and liaise with the site HSE rep with respect to statistical information related to an Injury and/or claim
- Management of all non-work related and income protection claims & issuing of FFW issue & site approvals for compliance to return
- Development of health management plans aimed at ensuring duty of care is adhered to
Who do we want to hear from?
- 3 to 5 years' experience in the coordination of injury management services in a large multidisciplinary organisation
- Strategic and pragmatic approach to injury management, with the ability to confidently liaise with business leads and our broader workforce
- Demonstrated technical ability in the application of workers compensation and injury management legislation in the development of claim strategies
- Highly developed knowledge and understanding of contemporary injury management & return to work practices
- Proven analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate information, identify issues and manage key injury management/HSE business statistics
