About the role
This role is responsible for fostering and maintaining high levels of expertise and proficiency among staff members, ensuring adherence to clinical governance standards, and promoting a positive culture of excellence and continuous improvement. This will include but not be limited to:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of six direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
- Oversee daily operations of the Occupational Health centre, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to clinical governance standards
- Deliver evidence-based Occupational Health services and conduct medical assessments to high standards
- Coordinate operational management of the Health Centre as required
- Adhere to all relevant regulations, acts, and professional codes
- Participate in maintaining a safe work environment
- Engage in annual performance development reviews
We’re looking for:
- Health background with relevant body registration with AHPRA or ESSA
- Proficient with digital health systems
- Successful obtainment of HLTPAT005 – Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing (desired)
- Extensive knowledge of clinical governance, safety and quality requirements
- Knowledge of ISO450001 (Quality Management systems)
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role with provision of administrative support
- Experience and ability to manage medium sized projects and understand health challenges
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
