Lead Laravel Engineer - Product Focused

This is an excellent opportunity for a Lead Laravel engineer to join a scaling Fin-tech business who are growing rapidly. This is one of Australia's success stories and have recently entered into another line of business which brings major opportunity for further growth. With the expected demand for the new product they need to make sure they have the best engineers on board to build out this platform.You will lead a mature engineering team if 8 Laravel developers who collaborate and bounce ideas among each other in an open manner. The role is based in Sydney and would require engineers to be in the office 2 days a week.About the role:

• Report to head of engineering.
• Take ownership over the product and provide technical direction moving forward.
• Mentor (technically) other developers on your team.
• Work across designing, tuning algorithms and data structures.
• Strong focus on headless architecture.
• Create and reuse code to make the platform a better user experience.
• Design and deploy code to scale out the platform.
• Implement IaC

About you:

• Experience in scaling out a platform in Laravel.
• Prior experience in building platforms from the ground up.
• Experience with headless architecture.
• Several years use of Laravel.
• CI/CD experience and K8's alongside docker.
• Ability to lead a team and raise the standard among the engineers.
• Prior use and understanding of cloud - AWS SQS, EC2, RDS.
