Job Description: We are seeking an accomplished Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Brisbane team. As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the mechanical aspects of projects within the Oil and Gas sector on an international scale.This is a unique opportunity to lead a team and contribute to the success of projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead the Mechanical Engineering team in the design, implementation, and optimization of various projects within the Oil and Gas sector. Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project life cycle, from conceptual design to commissioning and operations, including but not limited to carbon capture and gas processing.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other engineering disciplines. Conduct thorough feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost estimations for proposed projects, including those related to carbon capture and gas processing. Develop and review project specifications, standards, and engineering drawings.Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in oil and gas processing, carbon capture, and related fields. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.Minimum of 10 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on projects within the Oil and Gas sector. Proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget. In-depth knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
