About the Role

 

The Lead Operation Readiness – Asset Integration plays a key role in ensuring all asset management activities are completed in order for the new assets to be fully integrated into the BHP maintenance systems and practices, considering equipment criticality, maintenance strategies, and all other SAP master data requirements.  Provides leadership to the Asset Integration team and supports to the entire OR team across the WAMP portfolio.  

 

  • Development of SAP master data for all equipment included in project scope.  

  • Equipment criticality assessments 

  • Development of equipment maintenance strategies in accordance with MECoE requirements using APM as agreed with operational sites 

  • Development of Planned Maintenance related documents i.e. PMI, WIN, etc. 

  • Verification of selected spares  

  • In-store maintenance of spares 

  • Development of Task Specific Isolation Lists 

  • Providing SME inputs in planning of OR activities during early stages of the project.  

  • Play key role in Value Optimization activities to improve the Operational Readiness sub-function. 

  • Compliance with all local legislation and regulations, Group Level Documents and local asset procedures including safety, health, environment and community.    

  • Assist with the management of costs through development of the budget and monthly cost tracking activities.  

  • Efficiency of processes and resources in line with benchmarked capability   

About You

 

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or business management.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in mining operational roles 
  • Preferably 3-5 years’ experience in project management roles 
  • Preferably 3-5 years’ experience in asset management roles 
  • Understanding of Operational Readiness framework, processes, and systems 
  • Understanding of risk identification and management 
  • Detailed knowledge of BOS processes and routines 
  • Proficiency in resource planning & scheduling 
  • Solid interpersonal skills to interact and maintain effective relationships with contractors, regulators and community stakeholders.
