City Venue Management (CVM) is a facility management company managing
Aquatic Centres & Health Clubs stretching from the Gold Coast through to the
Sunshine Coast. We currently operate 35 facilities across Queensland and continue to grow. Rackley Swimming provides Swimming lessons and Squad coaching services in all our centres. Competitive Squad Programs are run at our centres in Coomera, Miami, Kawana, Helensvale, Toowoomba and across our Brisbane Centres. About the role
Rackley Swimming is currently seeking a Head Coach who possesses the necessary experience and motivation to establish a world-class and comprehensive program that caters to swimmers of all levels, from juniors to those aiming to represent Australia. This full-time position will be based at the Caloundra Aquatic Centre on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. The program has a squad of 150 swimmers, ranging from Junior squad to national level, and this is a great opportunity to build upon an already strong foundation. The Caloundra Aquatic Centre features an outdoor 50-metre pool, an outdoor 25-metre pool, and an indoor program pool.
Key responsibilities
Managing and Growing the Squad Program at the centre inclusive of
program, budget and staff management
Development and oversight of training programs for swimmers from junior to state/national level squads
Forming relationships with the community, parents and children within the
centre
Attending and encouraging swimmers to attend club nights and promote
joining the Pelican Waters Caloundra Swimming Club to
Compete in Regional, State and National level Competitions.
Attending local/national meets
Working closely and collaborating with Head Coaches from our other squad
sites and Management team across CVM
About you
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can build and balance the multifaceted nature of the role. Key traits and experience are seeking include:
Demonstrated ability in building a successful and sustainable program by
working closely with centre management and Learn to Swim Leaders.
Experience with Building squad programs and Club participation with a
contemporary approach to athlete development pathways.
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with swimmers and
stakeholders and take them on the journey to their personal best.
Leadership and collaboration skills, willingness to engage and mentor junior
coaches whilst open to continued personal and professional development.
Strong communication skills, strategic vision and prior coaching experience at Nationals level is a must.
The qualifications required for this role are:
Coaching accreditation – ASCTA Silver or Higher and Lv1 Strength &
Conditioning
Coaching Degree (Desirable)
Current Blue Card
Current CPR and Lifeguard
Willing to undergo a National Police Check
Salary Range $80,000 - $85,000 per annum
