What is the role?
A strong focus for our Lead People Partner is building, supporting, coaching the Business Partnering team in uplifting leadership capability, driving team member engagement and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace. As a senior member of the P&C Team, you will optimise our Business Partnering model, drive long term strategic growth and cater to a diverse workforce of up to 5000 team members across our Support Office and Timezone, Zone Bowling and Kingpin venues!
Responsibilities
Reporting directly into the Head of People & Culture and supervising a team of 4, the key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Providing high level guidance and support to our operations leaders on performance, development, remuneration, engagement and on/off-boarding.
- Partnering with Senior Stakeholders to define and implement people initiatives across the business and build workplace relations skills/expertise across the People Partner portfolio.
- Leading and managing the Business Partner team to coach, support and empower Funsquad Leaders in our venues, ensuring alignment to TEEG’s values and strategical goals.
- Direct the annual People efforts relating to Talent and Performance Management, Compensation, Succession Planning, IR/ER Matters and Leadership Development.
- Acting as the escalation point for People matters, providing resolutions to issues, leading end to end investigations (where necessary) and proving expertise to coach, develop and influence the People Partners and Leaders.
- Ensuring legislative Compliance & generally overseeing the annual P&C cycle activities.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate as a leader, would be fun, enthusiastic and collaborative. Someone who can also achieve quick outcomes and not get too stuck in the detail.
The ideal candidate will also possess:
- 5-8 + years of experience as P&C Business Partner or similar role within a fast-paced and dynamic business.
- Proficiency and experiencing managing a small team, with strong knowledge of contemporary P&C practices, complex case management and employment legislation.
- Proven experience within a large multisite business is preferred but not essential (ideally within retail, hospitality, entertainment space).
- Exceptional influencing skills and have the ability to make fast, confident decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to partner and influence at a senior level.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement, discretion and empathy when dealing with sensitive issues and cases to deliver positive and productive outcomes.
