About the Role:
As Lead Planner, you will provide team leadership to develop, review and manage planning and scheduling systems within a Heavy Civil project. This work will roll up under the Master Integrated Schedule which will be the responsibility of Lead Scheduler and requires compliance with Bechtel processes, plans, procedures, systems, methods, and policies critical to the success of critical path execution.
You will also lead planning support for the preparation of contract documentation specification for schedules, integrated planning, undertake bid review of contractor schedule submissions, and recommend any requirements for award.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support the project office and construction team leadership with scheduling and planning resources and output deliverables.
- Coordinate scheduling and planning of the Heavy Civil project - working in alignment with Project Manager and Project Controls Manager - with relevant schedules to ensure plan is robust and achievable.
- Coordinate the set-up and maintain specific quantity tracking metrics to ensure weekly quantities are meeting the project schedule requirements.
- Integrate interdisciplinary schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines or specialties; work with Construction to coordinate work sequences with the total capital project.
- Coordinate and is the Owner of identifying and reporting activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule and prepares and controls the Schedule Impact Report (as well as the CAIR - Critical Action Items Report).
- Other responsibilities as designated.
What You Bring:
- Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, with a preference that candidate will have a Heavy Civil knowledge / experience.
- Skilled in oral and written communication.
- Proficiency in using PC Microsoft software applications; advanced proficiency in using specific software applications currently used by Bechtel (e.g., Primavera P6).
- Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bechtel.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
