Come and be a part of this success. About the Role We have an exciting new opportunity for the recently created role of Lead Planner to join our Mt Arthur Coal team! Reporting to the Superintendent Planning and Reliability, you will lead a team of Specialists focused on delivering technical expertise to support industry leading equipment strategies and defect elimination activities. In this role you will provide leadership, guidance and technical expertise to drive team development, and closely support our Operation to build our planning and scheduling team, deliver quality maintenance and improve our reliability practices. This role will be Monday-Friday (with flexibility) and is based at our Mt Arthur Coal site in Muswellbrook. Hybrid / Flex work will be considered. BHP can provide domestic relocation support to enable you to reside in the stunning local Hunter Valley region. Your responsibilities will also include: Oversee work management processes and systems to manage a rolling 12-week maintenance plan, integrating with production requirements Developing close partnerships with key stakeholders across Maintenance and the broader business to drive planning and scheduling activities and optimise maintenance performance Delivering a high volume of optimised maintenance plans for equipment across site Monitoring, controlling and improving weekly work management processes Identifying and leading value-add projects aligned to business priorities Analysing performance metrics and trends to direct and prioritise the team's activities Assist in the development and planning of long term asset strategies including life extension work and major rebuild programs Work alongside the commercial team in the development of maintenance budgets Communicating effectively with technical and operational stakeholders to drive improvement project outcomes Providing leadership, support and mentoring to team members About You Experience in Asset Management, maintenance execution, maintenance planning & reliability or production processes, with solid technical aptitude and maintenance process expertise, ideally demonstrated in a leadership position Knowledge of SAP (or an equivalent ERP system) Experience in Mining or Fixed Plant Knowledge of planning & scheduling and the Work Management process Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships Good analytical problem-solving skills, to support sustainable problem resolution Foundational leadership experience and engagement of teams that support high quality and engaged delivery Experience implementing continuous improvement strategies with financial and commercial acumen The ability to engage and find positive outcomes with internal and external stakeholders Well-developed engagement skills with an interest in providing leadership, stewardship, support and solutions High level communication and influencing skills A trade qualification or engineering degree will be deemed advantageous How to Apply Please apply before 1 April 2023 About Our Process At BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
