Rural Doctors Network (RDN) is seeking a full-time Regional Manager to lead the regional management team and support the development and maintenance of strong relationships with key rural stakeholders, influencers and decision-makers at all levels with NSW; and the broader sector where required, lead initatives within the region on behalf of RDN and ensure well planned and collegial approaches to service delivery.
As the Lead Regional Manager will be the key point of contact for RDN throughout Northern NSW, ability to travel throughout the region is essential.
The Lead Regional Manager position is offered on a fixed term which will conclude in December 2024.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders within the sector and border industry, inclusive of the health workforce through to key CEO’s, Council GM’s and members of parliament.
- Act as the first point of contact for all regional relationships and ensure CRM is current in terms of communication information
- Manage the performance of a small team and strengthen the capacity and skills of direct reports by providing guidance and supporting exposure to key program activities and partner organisations, facilitating skills transfer, identifying beneficial training and participation at relevant program
- Lead in the planning, development and implementation of regional programs, projects, and activities on behalf of RDN and regional stakeholders while ensuring key stakeholders are actively engaged and recognised contributors
- Seek to innovate and streamline workflow processes to improve overall service delivery outcomes
- Ensure that collaborative plans and initiatives reflect RDN strategic plan and agreed activity targets
- Work with the Aboriginal Engagement Manager and other key positions internally to ensure effective and proactive engagement within the Aboriginal sector,
- Act as the advisor to RDN’s senior leadership team with regard to successes, issues and/or risks, including possible solutions to stakeholder relationships as soon as they arise
- Liaise with other RDN teams to provide and receive feedback around key stakeholder and community issues
- Actively monitor and evaluate regions performance and identify potential future projects and opportunities in order to achieve for long-term financial sustainability and continual service delivery improvement
About you
Ideally, you will bring to the position:
- Relevant tertiary-level qualifications in business or related field (required)
- Experience leading a small team that are responsible for significant resources and the successful delivery of objectives
- High-level knowledge and understanding of stakeholder engagement and relationship management processes and practice.
- Experience working with communities and in complex stakeholder environments.
- Experience developing and maintaining stakeholder networks, and stakeholder information within a CRM platform.
- A good understanding of the issues and impacts for rural and disadvantaged communities in Australia
- Strong commitment to supporting Aboriginal health and wellbeing with a demonstrated understanding of cultural awareness and safety.
- Excellent problem solving & organisational skills.
- Proven experience working collaboratively with others to achieve strategic goals and quality outcomes.
- Computer literacy with a range of software packages including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM (desirable).
- Strategic thinking, high level planning and implementation skills with experience in monitoring and evaluation to ensure targets are met and outcomes are achieved.
- Unrestricted drivers license
