Bechtel Energy has an opportunity for an experienced professional to come on board as Lead Travel and Accommodation Coordinator for our Pluto Train 2 project.   This position will be based in Karratha, FIFO Roster – 21/7.

About the Project:

Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy.  Woodside Energy is Australia's leading natural gas producer, and Bechtel is excited to be working with this key customer to help meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.

About the Role:

The Lead Travel and Accommodation Coordinator's position oversees the direct delivery in planning, forecasting, and scheduling of the Travel and Accommodation requirements for the Pluto Train 2 Project.

The role reports to the Workforce Services Manager, with direct operational contact with the Recruitment and Mobilisation Supervisor and supported by the wider onsite Workforce Service Team.

Responsibilities of the role will include: 

  • Oversee the planning, forecasting, and scheduling of end-to-end Project travel requirements including booking of charter and/or commercial flights, buses services, and RDV accommodation.
  • Lead the planning and execution of rescheduling due to cancellations/flight delays as required.
  • Manage and administer the accommodation booking System – TROBEXIS.
  • Facilitate Travel and Accommodation communication for Bechtel and Contractor personnel in relation to Travel and Accommodation.
  • Manage the mobilisation and onboarding processes in collaboration with the Recruitment and Mobilisation Supervisor.
  • Other tasks as designated.

What You Bring:

  • Excellent customer service skills. 
  • Strong analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills. 
  • Sound communication both written and verbal. 
  • Provision of a service function in high pressure project environment. 
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills. 
  • Prior experience in a similar role using Travel and logistics software such as TROBEXIS, SAMS, Workflow, INX is highly desirable. 

Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.

Additional Information: 

This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).

The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site.
