J.C.’s Quality Foods is an Australian-owned family business supplying an extensive range of healthy dried fruit, nut and snack products to retailers throughout Australia and South East Asia. Position: Quality Assistant
Reporting to the Quality Manager you will provide support in the maintenance and continuous improvement of J.C.’s Quality Foods Quality Assurance System so that production processes continue to meet and exceed customer expectations. In particular:
- monitor quality assurance processes relating to assessment of raw materials, retention sampling and assessment, labelling and packaging compliance and in-line quality control so that operational procedures comply with established practices and standards
- maintain JC’s quality assurance standards and systems by reviewing, developing and administering QA documentation, investigating and resolving corrective actions and complaints and conducting internal audits that verify processes and product quality.
- develop task analysis and conduct training so that required workplace standards are identified and performance standards consistently maintained
Qualifications and experience:
To be successful in this role you will need:
- demonstrated experience in a Quality Assurance role in the FMCG and / or food manufacturing industry
- proven ability to effectively work within a structured systems-based environment that safeguards the achievement and ongoing maintenance of Quality Certifications
- experience working with operations employees in developing and implementing systems and processes and designing relevant training
- sound communication skills in working closely with a range of internal and external customers in building effective partnerships in a quality assurance context
- sound administration and organisational skills with proven ability to independently manage workloads
- demonstrated time management skills, problem solving and decision-making skills
- ability to work independently and co-operatively in a team environment
A recognised tertiary qualification in Quality Assurance, Food Science / Technology or process improvement is desirable. You will also require a current Victorian Driving Licence.
