Job description

This is your opportunity to join a dynamic and enthusiastic team at Darebin. You will be responsible for leading a range of innovative resource programs and unique Early Years supports. Darebin is home to the highest proportion of services rated as exceeding the NQS compared to all services nationally.

We are looking for someone who can continue to create and build on the current success of the team and maintain the high standard of Education and care provided across Darebin.

  • Fixed term contract from 25 March 2024 to 3 January 2025
  • 30.4 hours per week 
  • $103,335.96 per annum

About the Role

  • To ensure Early Childhood Education and Care services are resourced to ensure they are supported to provide a high standard of service to families, and educators within Darebin.
  • To provide leadership which enhances the customer service, experience for families, through meaningful engagement and efficient service integration.
  • To assess community demands for relevant Early Years programs and Resources required and provide direction in planning.
  • To work with all departments of Council and liaise with other relevant stakeholders in the delivery of services to the community in line with Council strategies, policies and framework objectives.
Skills & Experience
  • A tertiary qualification in Early Childhood, Children’s Services, or equivalent
  • Experience in staff management, budgeting and program co-ordination.
  • A current Working With Children Card and police check
  • A current Victorian Driver’s Licence
  • Full VIT registration
  • Experience working with children’s programs and family support programs.
