An English Leader of Learning is required within a modern Catholic School in Manly. The school offers extensive grounds, harbour view and a supportive family-feel environment.
The position is a full time permanent role, to start as soon as possible and within the scope of the role there is the Coordinator 2 allowance.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience to teach Extension English 1 & 2 and experience to teach English Stage 4-6.
Key responsibilities include:
Understanding and commitment to the school's Catholic ethos, values, and mission
Demonstrate knowledge, competence and confidence in the relevant subject discipline
Capacity to contribute to the school's Continuous Improvement Cycle and commitment to student achievement
Proven ability to apply sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the needs of all learners
Skilled in analysing and reflecting on student learning data to ensure learning growth for all students;
Highly effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices
Willingness to contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community.
Proficient in the use of technology to enhance student learning
Requirements:
Current NESA accreditation to teach in NSW & current NSW Working with Children Check
Have a passion for teaching the relevant subject area(s) and relevant teaching experience
Have recognised Tertiary Educational Qualifications
Be able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development
