The Role
An opportunity currently exists for an experienced, seasoned and dedicated Human Resources Manager to join Damascus College as the Leader of People and Culture to help drive the implementation of the new School Improvement Framework and assist the business in achieving its vision.
Reporting to the College Principal with one direct report and working in collaboration with fellow members of the Leadership Team and other key stakeholders, the Leader of People and Culture is pivotal in ensuring the College’s Human Resources Practices drive organisational success and transformation. This includes building strong relationships, driving long-term strategies, collaborating with all members of the Leadership Team, fostering a supportive work environment and ensuring compliance.
The Right Person
- Experience leading a high functioning, strategic and creative Human Resources Team
- Tertiary qualifications in HR Management or a related discipline
- Broad communication skills that enable effective and appropriate communication with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Experience in strategic planning, providing strategic leadership and influencing and leading change in complex organisations
- A willingness to learn and understand the education landscape
- Strong collaborative and partnership skills
- Ability to influence and engage key stakeholders
- Demonstrated commitment to and engagement with the College’s Catholic Culture, Vision and Mercy Values.
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to the ethos of Damascus College as a Catholic school in the Mercy tradition
- Strong Information Communication Technology skills
