Each day, we work with passion and purpose so that together we achieve incredible things.Together we Make the Difference How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne…The Team Leader-People Culture and Leadership (PCL) Advisory is a pivotal role within the PCL branch and is responsible for coaching, mentoring upskilling and managing the PCL Advisory function. This role is primarily tasked with, and responsible for, managing workload, providing direction, guiding the team and ensuring the compliance of organisational policies. In addition, the Team Leader-PCL Advisory will be required to do some ad-hoc case management and for the purpose of on-going training and developing the team building upon current capability.The role is supervisory but retains operational responsibility for the team whilst balancing completing PCL related tasks whilst ensuring the team does the same within acceptable timeframes. The Team Leader leads the PCL Advisory team to deliver high value and quality services to management and employees alike. At times, there will be a requirement to provide reporting when and where required based on the organisational business demands.

Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve high performance outcomes with coaching skills to develop team capabilities, team cohesion and the ability to effectively manage conflict and under performance.
Analytical and lateral thinking skills and the ability to take the initiative, drive change and implement innovations
Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and maintain business plans and associated budgetary and financial management requirements
Proven experience effectively managing issues within a highly political and complex environment
