Commencing as soon as possible and based in Southern Tasmania, there is a full time opportunity to join a leading Tasmanian civil road construction company as a Leading Hand, specialising in asphalting and spray sealing.
About you
This role will be ideal for someone who has at least three to five years experience in the civil road construction industry working in spray sealing operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
To be successful in your new role, you will have proven ability in the operation of mobile plant machinery, have knowledge of various bituminous products and their application, along with the high level communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with dangerous goods - bitumen handling is essential as is having a current General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
To be considered for this position you must possess the following:
- Minimum three to five years experience in the civil roads construction industry
- Minimum three to five years of asphalting and spray sealing operations experience
- Experience working within Quality, Safety and Environmental management systems
- Knowledge of various bituminous products and their applications
- Experience working with detailed plans and specifications
- Knowledge of dangerous good - bitumen handling
- The relevant qualifications/licences/tickets as outlined in the PD (available upon request)
