AddressWe are currently seeking to engage with multiple Leading Hand Carpenters who demonstrate relevant qualifications and expertise in supporting the coordination of large commercial construction projects. Based in Launceston, within the Construction division, the role on offer is on a full-time permanent basis with occasional additional hours to satisfy the operational requirements.
As a Leading Hand Carpenter with Fairbrother, you will support and be reporting to the Site Manager appointed to the relevant project who leads a strong and capable team of qualified trade staff, technicians and general labourers.. While on the tools, you will assist all trade staff and apprentices with technical support, advice and mentoring, as well as meeting deadlines. Your time management and organisational skills are second to none as well as your ability to work under pressure.

- A minimum of 5 years in commercial construction
- Previous managerial / leadership experienceBeen involved with major commercial projects

To be successful, the candidate will display:
- Full working rights in Australia
- Certificate III in Carpentry (mandatory)
- Sound knowledge of the building code of Australia
- A current driver’s licence
- Construction Industry White Card
- Working Safely at Heights
- Own tools
- Own vehicle
- National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
- Working with Vulnerable People (or willing to obtain)
