- Experience working on Major Projects
- Keen eye for detail and have an ability to produce high quality work
- Ability to push a team and adhere to site and company procedures
- Ability to supervise and coordinate effectively
- Direction and management of carpenters, labourers and other trades
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and prioritise tasks
- Interpersonal skills to maintain good relationships with trades, management and contractors
- Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to build strong rapport with trades,Labourers, management and site supervisors
- Good computer literacy
- 5 + years experience as a licensed carpenter
- Hands on approach to all aspects of carpentry
- Experience in leading a small team of carpenters and labourers
- Experience in major projects advantageous
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - ability to build relationships with team and site supervisors
- Ability to drive projects to meet deadlines on time
- Proven experience of effectively manage a team, in a professional manner and ensuring longevity of relationships
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation and requirements, has proven experience of effectively controlling site safety
- Good communicator with the ability to deal with issues if they occur
