Our Further Processing Plant, in Edinburgh Parks, has an opportunity available for a Leading Hand to join the Cooking department and take responsibility for the continued improvement of safety, quality, delivery, and performance of the team.
We are seeking interest from candidates who can demonstrate experience working as a Leading Hand in a processing or manufacturing environment. This role will provide support to the production supervisors and leadership team to assist with motivating the team to achieve key outcomes.
Hours worked:
This role will have you work across an AM roster, Monday -Friday 5:00 am to 14:30 pm.

Daily Tasks
- Coach and develop the manufacturing team to ensure they have the capability to meet the performance goals.
- Report on operations and general work planning.
- Establish, communicate, and monitor safety standards and lead corrective action in areas of high risk.
- Execute the site's plan with ongoing measurement of performance, achievement of scheduled deadlines, and allocating resources appropriately.
- Liaising with your Supervisor and identifying and managing Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards, and risks.
You will bring to this role
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing industry in a Team Leader position.
- Experience in food manufacturing and/or the FMCG industry will be highly regarded.
- Ability to work in a cold environment.
- Proven communication and leadership skills to lead a team.
- Drive the continual improvement of both processes and people.
- A desire to build team capability through training and transfer of knowledge.
- Computer literate and comfortable using the MS suite.
- Experience managing information related to raw materials, product-in-process, packaging materials, finished products, or packed stock.
- Following and maintaining GMP Compliance.
- Experience driving positive cultural change.
