As a result of our success and growth we are now seeking experienced and enthusiastic Leading Hand to join Flashbutt Welding projects in the Pilbara region, WA.
ABOUT YOU
- 3 years proven experience in a similar role
- A proactive and well-informed approach to working safely
- Demonstrate capability assisting in Rail Maintenance / Construction environment
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and effective communication skills
- Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure
- Machine operating experience (desirable)
- Drivers Licence (essential)
- White card
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Lead a team of experienced Rail Workers with various skills
- Understand, implement, and monitor Work Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements in the field
- Contribute to the production and review of SWMS, and ensure crew is well versed in all relevant requirements
- Good oral and written communication with knowledge of day to day works under the guidance of the Supervisor
- Provide direction, following instructions at all times
- Assist the team to deliver the scopes of work on various maintenance projects and sites helping with site preparation and restoration
- Ensure that all technical, safety procedures and contract specific requirements are followed
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Perform general track maintenance as required
