Are you a skilled and motivated Carpenter / Leading Hand Carpenter looking to elevate your career to the next level? We have an exciting opportunity for you to step into a Junior Foreman/Site Management role, overseeing multi million dollar projects around Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. You will be supported in your development and moulded into a great builder.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the construction site along with the Project Manager
- Ensure that all work is carried out safely, within budget and to a high standard
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure the project runs smoothly
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure that all workers comply with health and safety regulations
- Monitor progress and report weekly to the Project Manager
- Manage project schedules, budgets and resources with the PM
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience in a Leading Hand role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Eagerness to learn and develop
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of construction laws and regulations
- computer literate
