Leading Hand/Junior Site Manager

Inset Group is a leading Design and Construction company that specialises in high-end retail, commercial and bespoke residential fitouts.  We have built a strong reputation on delivering high quality projects to our clients.

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Leading Hand/Junior Site Manager.   This is a hands on role which requires the candidate to draw on their prior construction experience working in a similar capacity.

The person we are seeking will be energetic, driven and committed as this position has potential for long term career progression.

Responsibilities

• working alongside the Project/Site Manager, assist with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the construction site
• work in a hands-on capacity
• supervise and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers as instructed
• record and maintain accurate records of site activity
• manage deliveries to site
• ensure site safety is a priority
• maintain site in a clean and tidy manner
• handle site permits and logistics
• material procurement as necessary

Requirements

• proven experience working on retail, commercial and/or residential construction projects 
• previous experience in a similar role preferred
• strong communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to adhere to project scope
• good problem solving ability and decision making skills
• eagerness to learn and develop
• ability to guide and coordinate others on site
• drivers license with own vehicle preferred
• construction white card
• Qualifications in Cert IV Building and Construction or Cert III in Carpentry are not essential but will be highly regarded
